KwaZulu Natal Spring Gardens
We haven't experienced as dry a winter since 1992 in these parts, yet it's a testament to the generosity of our environment that, as dry as it is, the flora and the arbors of our area are as determined as ever to show off their spring finery. -

THE FIRST ARRIVALS
This weekend was a double celebration for us. Last season we introduced two of the best young prospects to set foot at Summerhill, Mullins Bay and Stronghold, and we were greeted with the arrival on Sunday of a filly foal from each, and then shortly after that, with a second filly out of a Group-winning mare for Stronghold. KZN RACING AWARDS 2008
At the recent 2008 KZN Racing Awards held at Greyville Durban, Summerhill picked up the honours for Breeder Of The Year, and as part owners of Imbongi, the coveted titles of Horse Of The Year as well as Champion Three Year Old Colt. Congratulations to Ronnie Napier, Michael Fleischer, Owen Liebrandt, Barry Clements and to Team Summerhill. Imbongi was trained by Trainer Of The Year Mike de Kock and his groom, Goodman Bhuku, was crowned Groom Of the Year. -

Visit to the Royal Palace, Maseru, Lesotho
