Thokozani Dlungwane has been a part of the Summerhill Ready To Run team for many years and has turned out some outstanding race horses. He has a natural ability when it comes to schooling these youngsters and it shows on the race tracks all over South Africa. Over the last couple of years he’s ridden the likes of Tap Tap, Ithala and Fork Lightening.

Thokozani knows what to look for in a top Ready To Run horse and opted to school and breeze last years winner of the EMPERORS PALACE READY TO RUN CUP, UMNGAZI (by Muhtafal).

The first of Thokozani’s “top 2 fillies” for this year’s draft is SLIP SLIDING.

SLIP SLIDING is by Kahal, out of a West Man mare, Silent Manoeuvre.

Silent Manoeuvre is a sister to ST JOHNS WOOD (8 wins including the Richelieu Guineas G1). She is from the family of talented sprinters, PHANTOM EARL, EXTRA COVER and SCARLET LADY.

These "RIDERS' PICKS" are very interesting &, no doubt, a very good promotion; but I think they might be even more interesting, without an enormous amount of work, if the R2R candidates' extended pedigrees were given.
