Readers of these columns already know it. This is the world’s most traversed web address in thoroughbred breeding. Something which has always puzzled us though, is that when it comes to our international traffic, American fans far outweigh those of Britain, Europe, the UAE, Japan and the Russian republics. Yet, when it comes to the Summerhill website itself (www.summerhill.co.za), the British slightly eclipse all other nations, with America a close second.
A recent survey in Time Magazine reveals that Americans are avid “bloggers” and social networkers, with a list-leading 35,1% of their total traffic, while the email and news items rank right at the bottom of their list of preferences (just 2.6%).
