Thoroughbred Daily News
Juvenile consignor Kip Elser, owner of Kirkwood Stables, will be the lone U.S. representative on an allstar judges panel at Bloodstock South Africa’s Ready To Run Breeze Up show October 14 at Summerhill Stud in South Africa. Elser joins trainer Mike de Kock, Jehan Malherbe, Joey Ramsden, Sean Tarry, Graeme Hawkins, Michael Roberts and other horsemen on the panel.
Elser explained that their job will be to share their views of the breeze-up show with a television audience and each make their selections of the top two or three colts and fillies.
“I’m very excited about the trip and am honored to be an invitee,” said Elser. “I am particularly looking forward to working with the other panelists, who are outstanding horsemen and judges of horses. There is no question that South African horses can compete anywhere in the world.”
The Ready To Run Sale will be held November 6 at the TBA Sales Complex in Johannesburg, with the entries eligible for the R2million Emperors Palace Ready To Run Cup.
