THE CRITICS HAVE SPOKEN
Not only Champion racehorses, but champion cooks as well. Readers of these columns know all about Summerhill’s six national Breeder’s titles, and that there is some anticipation in the team about Friday evening’s KZN Breeder’s Awards.
Less publicised though, is the status of Hartford House, our celebrated boutique hotel and restaurant on the greater Summerhill estate. Just two months ago, it was voted for the second year in a row the people’s choice as the country’s top restaurant in the Visa/House and Leisure best of SA awards. Last night, Eat Out celebrated the critic’s top ten restaurants, and once again, Hartford House made the cut. Amazingly, it is the only restaurant in KZN to enjoy this singular distinction.
