HEAR THE DRUMS

The remarkable Hear The Drums, a R42,000 Summerhill Ready To Run graduate took a step closer to conquering the great Sentinel’s 35-year-old record of 30 victories, on Friday.

Understandably, after a career involving 51 starts, Hear The Drums had to grind this one out, but grind he did, and in the process he took his stakes earnings to R1,463,750.

In as emphatic a statement on the soundness of horses raised here, for the record, Sentinel graduated, like Hear The Drums, from the historic paddocks of Hartford and Summerhill.

ALL eight Equisoft Staff watched the race at the local bookies in Kilcullen. We increased the no. of punters there by 400%.
They must have been shocked to hear us cheer the horse home - even at 1/3 fav.
