REBEL KING’s big win in Saturday’s Cape Flying Championship, marked the third Grade One winner to emerge from the Summerhill paddocks in the past six months. Muhtafal’s daughter, OUTCOME got the ball rolling with a comfortable win in the Garden Province Stakes, in July. DESERT LINKS (Kahal) followed up in the Canon Gold Cup, and now REBEL KING has paid tribute to the benefits of his own upbringing.

Grade One winners don’t just happen, certainly not in this sort of succession. They take painstaking planning, rearing and education. The hoisting of the full regalia of the six Summerhill flags at the stallion barn, hails a team that never lies down.
