The looming sale of TBA Chairman Advocate Altus Joubert’s breeding stock at his Riethuiskraal dispersal on the 8^th June is gathering momentum. We’ve received enquiries from a number of our clients in the UK, Australia and Kenya, an encouraging sign that there’s still “puff” in the broodmare and weanling market, and that people are looking well beyond the woes of the sub-prime crisis. On this latter score, it does seem that the worst is behind us, if we can believe the financial press, and in particular the world’s wisest investor, Warren Buffet. People seem to be getting on with their lives and planning for the future.
