Massive Drama (brisnet) Zayat Stables’ Massive Drama (Kafwain) was timed in 46.59 for 800 meters on Tuesday ahead of his tilt in the $2-million G2 UAE Derby. “He looked great and handled the track real well,” said trainer Dale Romans, who saddled 2005 G1 Dubai World Cup hero Roses in May.
Dale Romans isn’t sure how his new charge will stack up to Saturday’s challengers, a number of whom are Southern Hemisphere-bred. “It’s a hard race to handicap, at least for me,” he said. “I know some of the others, including Summerhill Stud patron Sheikh Mohammed’s, Royal Vintage and Honour Devil, are older and have a little more experience.”
