SEA CHANGE reminds us of the virtues of CAPE CROSS

Cape CrossLot 321 Cape Cross x Berkshire Lass The seven-time Group One winning mare Sea Change, is reportedly working up a storm in her preparation for the US$5 million Dubai Duty Free on 29 March, according to our old pal and racing manager to the owners, New Zealander Rick Williams. Nobody will be surprised if she picks up the major share of the mammoth prize on offer.

After all, besides the World Champion Mare Ouija Board, her sire Cape Cross has left five individual Group One winners in the southern hemisphere already, and that reminds us how fortunate we are to have in our draft for the Emperor’s Palace National Yearling Sale Lot 321, an outstanding Darley-bred son of the same stallion.

We probably don’t need to say this, but Darley-bred almost invariably implies a princely pedigree, so we need only bother ourselves with whether or not this is an individual worthy of his breeding. We’ve appended a picture, so we’ll leave it to you to be the judge.
