St Andrew's ChurchSt Andrew’s Church, BoxfordOn a raw, misty February afternoon some 500 people paid their last respects to Sir Philip Payne Gallweyat St Andrew’s Church at Boxford in the Lambourn Valley. The Address was given by the Reverend Nigel Sands and a wonderful appreciation of Philip’s life by Alan Cooper.

From France, came Tim Richardson and Didier Genin of the Haras de Fresnay le Buffard, trainer Jonathan Pease, Comte Bernard de Saint-Seine and Desmond Stoneham. The large contingent from Newmarket included Chris and Annie Richardson, Kirsten Rausing, Sam Bullard, Nigel Wright, Miles Littlewort, Martin Percival, Andrew Mead, Martin Mitchell, Pat McCalmont and James Beazley while locals included Fiona Marner, Peter Walwyn, Henry Candy, Nicky Henderson, Simon Marsh, Bob McCreery, Teddy Grimthorpe and John Dunlop.
