In the whole of the boss’s life, he has never failed to spend a few weeks at his beloved Wild Coast family cottage, and that’s where the family are as this article is being penned. One of the great attractions of Lambasi, as its known in the family, is its complete remoteness and disconnection from the rest of the world. No phones, no newspapers, and radios don’t work down there, so any attempt to make contact with the rest of the world involves a journey of some 40 kms across some desperate terrain, and the need to stand on the Land Rover roof in order to establish cellphone “comms”.
