1st August: Every Thoroughbreds Birthday

While we’re all celebrating Championships in one form or another, we should remember that all Southern Hemisphere Thoroughbreds also celebrate their official birthdays on the 1^st August. And so for the first time, our weanlings will come of some sort of age, and more the 160 of them will be a year old today, and the Ready to Runners have made two, and are officially old enough to be doing what they’re being prepared for.

For those that live at Summerhill, every day’s a celebration anyway, and we won’t have to change anything to ensure they get the best of meals, the deepest of beds, and the most attentive of care. That’s what they’re paying for, and we haven’t had any complaints.
