Argentine Stars Snapped Up

Offers flowed in almost as soon as the winners had passed the post in the two year old races at the Carreras de las Estrellas at San Isidro last month.

Hamdan al Maktoum, who’s appetite for the local bloodstock was sharpened by the triumphs of Invasor, snapped up Mach Glory within days of his victory in the GP Estrelles Juvenile over one mile.

The son of Honour and Glory scored by two lengths from Sentimiento Cat (Easing Along), who has been sold to race abroad. Sentimiento Cat won a Listed event for debutants at Palermo. The equivalent race at San Isidro fell to Envy Me, the subject of yet another recent purchase.

Mike de Kock, who did so well with the Argentine-bred Asiatic Boy at the Dubai International Carnival this year, is the new trainer of the Juvenile Fillies winner Inca Noble (Ride the Rails), for Sheikh Mohammad bin Khalifa al Maktoum.
