The big fillies event was taken in consummate fashion by our great friends at Cheveley Park’s Nannina, a daughter of the amazingly successful Medicean (another, like Street Cry & Kahal, advertising the exceptional merits of Machiavellian as a sire of sires).

It’s our bet that Machiavellian is set to become the next outstanding branch of the Mr. Prospector line, and on the evidence so far, he might be THE ONE. The bird has largely flown as far as the acquisition of his better sons is concerned as they aren’t making them any more, so we count ourselves lucky to have Mullins Bay (his best racing son in the world in 2005) and Hobb Alwhatan in waiting, while Kahal continues to make headlines.
