In what must now be rated the greatest of high fashion races world-wide, Sheikh Mohammad’s West Wind got home in Sunday’s Prix de Diane Hermes (French Oaks) to provide Frankie Dettori with his third European Classic win in a fortnight.

From a Summerhill perspective, the significance of this victory rests on the fact that West Wind is a daughter of Machiavellian sire of Summerhill resident stallions Kahal and Hobb Alwahtan, soon to be joined at the farm by Mullins Bay.
