Lostintranslation: A promising prospect

Lostintranslation (Muhtafal-Snooty Lady) was a fast closing third in the Cape of Good Hope Nursery (Gr.3) behind Diana’s Choice on only his second racecourse appearance. He came from a long way back, racing green in the early stages, and ran on better than anything else in the field. Given a bit more time to mature and a little more ground. He looks like he could be top class, and is a tribute to Joey Ramsden’s judgment, and the celebrated cross of Muhtafal or Northern Guest (or Northern Dancer-line) mares, which to date has yielded the Graded Stakes winners Let’s Rock & Roll, The Waltz, Side By Side and Tuscan Elegance, to mention a few.

His full brother Maliyakhe was sold as Lot 326 to Sabine Plattner at the National Yearling Sales for R500 000.
