Nip 'n Tuck

You might just be a faithful old stable block that has sheltered numerous newborn champions in the past, but at Summerhill you are never too old for a facelift. The maintenance team has started the massive job of transforming our B-block stables into a classic showpiece.

It will consist of the whole building being stone clad with hand cut stone found on the farm (the same stone that was used to build Hartford House and the main house at Summerhill). Finishing of the refurbishing, the stable block will also be fitted with new wooden doors and an upgraded showing area.

The stables will be used in future as our main prep location for our national sales yearlings and maybe even as a more regular wedding venue, like this past weekend. Watch this space for pictures on their progress.
