Just four months after his purchase 2006 Ready to Run graduate REGAL RUNNER (trained by Andre Kirsten) made it 2 wins and a second from just 3 starts with his 1st in Saturday's Storm Bird Stakes [Listed] over 1000m.

Regal Runner is a 2-year-old gelding by Muhtafal out of  Ring The Changes (Tete-A-Tete). He was bred by Summerhill and Mr & Mrs R Foster and was sold at last year's sale for R100,000. A late foal, Regal Runner is out of a 5-time winning dam (including the Gr 3 Strelitzia Stakes) and is a half brother to 8 winners including the 7-time winner and Gr 2 placegetter RIVER PLATE (Listed winner and 4th Gr 1 Champions Cup).
