South African entries for Champions Stakes Day

The European Bloodstock News reports this morning that 74 entries have been received for the Gr 1 Champion Stakes Day in the UK on Saturday 14 October. In addition to the superb string of British horses that appear on the first entries list, there are equally talented challengers expected from Ireland, Germany, and France - the latter of particular relevance to South Africa as two of the John Hammond trained nominations include the Gr 1 winning mare IRRIDESCENCE and Summerhill’s own MULLINS BAY.
