The Summerhill bred Champion Two Year Old of last season - Carnadore - won today’s KwaZulu-Natal Breeders 1600, a listed race worth R 100 000. The winner of last year’s premier juvenile sprint race, The Gold Medallion (Grade 1) is tipped to  race over slightly longer distances in future given he has now returned to winning form at the mile distance.

Trainer Mike de Kock says on his website “Carnadore trained well at home during the week, and certainly was looking more like his old self.”
