The R2R Class of 2004 salute

HEAR THE DRUMS (Ready to Race graduate 2004) was an easy winner of the MR 102 Handicap at Arlington yesterday. This was his 10th win and 9th placing from just 22 starts.

Another Ready to Run graduate - BHEKINKOSI (also a 2004 graduate) - is currently listed 22nd on the top prize money earners for the current season having added another R183,810 in just a few months.

One of the leading 2004 graduates - FANYANA - finished 18th on last season’s prize money list with an additional R530,620 added to his earnings during the 05/06 racing year. Horses above him included the likes of Ilha Da Vitoria, Elusive Fort, Eyeofthetiger, National Spirit, Zebra Crossing, Express Way etc.

The Class of 2004 also includes the likes of Evanesce, Talahatchie, Aidan’s Lady, Deal a Double, Raisearose, Paris to Peking, Rambo’s Love etc.

Not a bad vintage you might say.
