Malhub retired to Summerhill the fastest son of Kingmambo to stand in the Southern Hemisphere with a Timeform rating of 126. As Mick says "He's the fastest and one of the finest sons of a stallion whose influence on World racing deepens by the day."

He's also a magnificent specimen who is stamping his progeny as clones of himself.

It's always a good sign.

Half a world away, Johannesburg (World Champion 2YO of 2001, undefeated Juvenile G1 Winner and Champion in four countries) has just had his stud fee raised 160% to US65,000. It's the largest percentage fee increase for the 2007 USA Stud Season and not a surprising result given Johannesburg has already sired 5 Stakes Winners including Gr 1 winner SCAT DADDY and 2 stakes performers in his first crop.

The relevance to Malhub? Well, our boy defeated Johannesburg when winning the Gr 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes in record time.

Malhub's first draft of yearlings will enter the National Sales yearling ring in just 5 months time.

To say we're looking forward to them breezing at next year's Ready to Run sale would be an understatement.
