Desert Lion snatches at course record
Monday, October 9, 2006 at 08:45AM The course record still stands … but only just. Yesterday afternoon DESERT LION - the 4 year old chestnut son of KAHAL was just 0.06 second outside the 1000m record when he added his third win (and 4th placing) from just 8 starts in the Du Pont MR86 Handicap at Scottsville.
ALL OVER RED ROVER holds the record at 56.57 seconds.
Congratulations to Messrs L Cirigliano and M G Wishart (the Wisharts also bred Desert Lion) as well as Dennis Drier and Glyn Schofield.
