Serious work-in-progress. Ronney Naidoo and his team of builders, “daga boys”, bricklayers, carpenters and general factotums, have been grafting away feverishly since mid December, and we’re seeing the first fruits of a serious endeavour.

With the coming of the festive season, so comes the reinforcement of foundations and the planting of trees.

The next phase of construction on Al Maktoum School Of Excellence building site is a significant one... the laying of the first foundations.

The new dam has been constructed immediately in front of the Al Maktoum School Of Excellence site and is filling adequately. The sunset views from the school promise to be excuisite.

An ever-thickening carpet of brilliant green shoots is covering the School site. Fast growing Oats was selected primarily due to its aggressive root structure, which will serve to retain the soil until construction commences.

The earthworks for the new dam, which is being built immediately in front of the Al Maktoum School Of Management Excellence site, are underway and on schedule. The school location takes advantage of the magnificent valley views of the Panjandrum and Preston Pan dams.
